Issue trying to install on Win 11

Hi

I have been trying to install Vimalin on a Windows 11 machine and cannot seem to get the username / password to accept. Every time it throws the following error

Error while installing the service (Code 3) Did you enter the correct password?


My username / password is linked to a Microsoft account as it decreed by my company but has administrator rights to the pc. The password is complex with non standard characters.
I'm assuming either or both of these may be the issue.

I have tried on another pc with a less stringent username / password combination and it seems to install fine. 

Any thoughts?

Hello Kev,

Most likely it is the windows account, it is not an error that gets reported often, but it usually involves a microsoft account.
Let me send you a workaround by email for getting the installer to finish.

Using a Microsoft account and not a local account and running Windows 11 23H2.
