Hi, I am running VMware Workstation 15 Pro (15.5.1 build-15018445) on a Windows Server 2019 computer.
I have 3 Linux VMs running on VMware Workstation and they are "shared" VMs (so they can be set to auto-start when the computer starts).
So my question is: will I be able to back up those "shared" Linux VMs, running on VMware Workstation 15.5.1, on a Windows 2019 computer, using the paid version of Vimalin?
Thanks.

Hello DiWit,
Yes that should work.
You can try it out for yourself. The application works unlimited for 60 days and after that you loose the ability to schedule backups, but even then you can still make (and restore) backups.
Be it shared VM's or normal VM's.

Thanks, this seems to be working.
Also, I see you can right-click on the backup and select "compress" to compress it, but is there a way to automatically compress scheduled backups without me having to manually compress them?
Thanks.

Hi,
Good to hear that it works for you.
As for the question on compressing the backups automatically, sadly that's currently not a feature.
It's on the list to look into, but I can't make any promises on when that might arrive.
